Trifermed Awards: For Social Impact In Healthcare
Dr. Pedro Albajar, lead of the Chagas Control Program at the WHO, is awarded for their relentless fight against NTDs
On September 17, the Trifermed Awards ceremony will take place in Barcelona (Spain), an event to celebrate innovation and dedication to improving health outcomes worldwide. They recognize the work of individuals, groups and organizations who are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in healtcare.
Dr. Pedro Albajar Viñas will receive the Global Health Advocacy Award, for their relentless fight against Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), championing health equitiy wolrdwide. Dr. Albajar is a specialist on Chagas disease and head of the Chagas Disease Control Program of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as a reference for the health community regarding neglected diseases.
-These awards will be hosted at the AXA Auditorium (Avda. Diagonal, 547, 08029, Barcelona), with more than 300 guests representing the local health ecosystem. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a networking meeting and a cocktail for attendees.
