Experiences and Lessons Learned in Developing Roadmaps to Accelerate and Sustain the Elimination of Communicable Diseases

This webinar published by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) will be an opportunity to share and hear from countries about their experiences, challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned in developing roadmaps to accelerate and sustain the elimination of communicable diseases, within the framework of the Elimination Initiative.

Countries in the region of the Americas are implementing processes to identify diseases and conditions to include in their roadmaps, prioritize critical interventions to overcome cross-cutting bottle necks, define new elimination milestones, and establish concrete actions within the framework of the Initiative’s four lines of action. These roadmaps reflect the countries’ political and technical commitment to achieving the expected results and their willingness to advance priorities and accelerate the actions necessary to fulfil the elimination agenda.
