XVI Conference about Chagas Disease
On April 15-16 it was celebrated the #JornadaChagas2021 event, two years after the declaration of the World Chagas Day, set on April 14th.

With “an attention focused on people” as the main motto, during two days of online presentations, workshops, posters and oral communications, all the participants offered an approach to their works on this ailment, and shared their points about the current situation of the Chagas disease in the world and its investigations, specially where it is become a public health problem.
The world recognition for this ephemeris was a highlight, and took a special attention from the participants, who brough their memories back when they first got in touch with this neglected disease (NTD).
The conference was chaired by our Coordinator, Javier Sancho, and organised by María Jesús Pinazo, Director of the ISGlobal’s Chagas Initiative and opener of the conference; and Irene Losada, Coordinator for the Chagas Initiative; amonght other professionals, with special support of the Mundo Sano foundation.
