XXVII Congress of the Latin American Federation of Parasitology
Experts from Latin America and institutions around the world will discuss about parasitic and neglected diseases and how to tackle them from a "One Health" perspective
The XXVII Congress of the Latin American Federation of Parasitology (FLAP) will be held in Buenos Aires, from November 26 to 29, 2024, along with the XII Congress of the Argentine Society of Protozoology.
The event scheduled plenary sessions and round tables by some of the most relevant researchers and institutions on tropical medicine and global health in Latin America and the rest of the world. Also, there will be a space for young researchers and the presentation of papers and oral communications. The participants will address different topics from the “One Health” perspective, such as advances in the development of new vaccines, the repositioning of drugs for neglected diseases and its diagnosis and treatment, and will explore new tools for scientific education and communication in the post-pandemic era after COVID-19.
The Global Chagas Coalition will be represented by some of our partners, such as the Mundo Sano Foundation, DNDi, ISGlobal and Tulane University. Other intintutions to participate are usual allies of the Chagas community, such as CONICET and ANLIS Malbrán, the TG6-IEC Technical Group of the WHO Chagas Program, Fiocruz, the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, and a number of universities from Argentina and other countries from around the world.
