Improving Access to Essential Diagnostics in the Americas

FIND and Pan American Health Organization host an online webinar to explore how expanding access to essential diagnostics can accelerate progress toward universal health coverage in the Americas. Speakers will highlight the role of national essential diagnostics lists (nEDLs) and share insights on how countries can adopt and implement them to strengthen health systems.

Diagnostics are fundamental to effective health systems, enabling prevention, early detection, treatment decisions, case management, and disease surveillance. Their importance spans the full spectrum of health challenges, from communicable and noncommunicable conditions to neglected tropical diseases, rare diseases, injuries, and disabilities.
