World Nelected Tropical Diseases Day 2026

30 January 2026

The seventh annual edition of the World NTD Day will be held on Friday, January 30, 2025. The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO)  and the World Health Organization (WHO) will formalize a slogan and several initiatives for this 2026 edition under the main call “Unite. Act. Eliminate”.

This is a global movement celebrated since 2020, on the anniversary of the 2012 London Declaration on NTDs, which unified partners around the globe to push for greater investment and action to end Neglected Tropical Diseases. It was finally recognized by the World Health Assembly on May 31, 2021. The elimination of these 21 diseases recognized by PAHO/WHO is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, to promote a healthier and more equitable world with special attention to the poorest and most vulnerable populations.
