The International CARDIO Alliance (iCARDIO Alliance) has published a guideline for for heart failure management. This work is an addition to clinical practice guidelines developed by other medical associations on clinical practices, but it puts resource availability and limitations in the center of the conversation, as well as access to specific interventions and technologies, cultural influences, and local standards of care.
This guideness is based on the most recent evidence. Effective heart failure management requires that health proffesionals adapt this material to their own clinical judgment to each patient’s unique circumstances and the resources available in their region. By integrating these recommendations with individualized care and addressing local healthcare dynamics, practitioners can optimize heart failure management and improve patients’ quality of life.
These guidelines have been written by renowned experts from around the world and approved by a final public review. The goal is to unite the most influential cardiovascular societies and improve cardiovascular care from prevention to diagnosis and treatment, and the follow-up of affected individuals, through the implementation of concise and practical guidelines applicable to cardiovascular care worldwide.
Through this innovative approach iCARDIO Alliance hopes to enhance guideline dissemination and implementation on a global scale.
